Milestones
Not only is this time of year filled with the holidays but it holds special anniversaries for us as well. It was 20 years ago the end of August that Fred resigned from pastoring after 15 years and we became full time missionaries. We headed off to Russia and after less than a week, the Bible School was raided by the KGB. A week later we were on a plane back to America. Then at the end of January 1998 we moved to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Africa as
missionaries. This upcoming January will be our 20 year anniversary in Africa. 2018 will also see our 60th birthdays and our 40th wedding anniversary. Thank you for your support these last 20 years.
Debby’s Africa report
In September, I traveled to Benin and Mali. I taught in two Bible schools, one national woman’s conference and preached in several churches. I often have a team with me when I travel but this time I traveled alone. However Fred and I have good friends in both Benin and Mali and I stayed with Pastor Nazaire and his wife Justine in Benin and in the church complex in Mali.
Benin
I taught in two Bible schools in Benin. One of the schools, located In Bohicon is a highly 
intensive Bible school packed into 3 days a month. I taught 8 hours one day, 6 another and finished with 4 the last morning. The other Bible school is held nightly in the city of Cotonou. On the final night of that class, we finished with prayer and the whole class erupted in spontaneous rejoicing. This went on for about 15 minutes. The presence of the Lord was so evident that many students were overwhelmed with joy. I preached twice both Sundays and afterwards many gave testimonies of being healed. One man had been suffering with back pain and it instantly disappeared.
Mali
In Bamako, the capital of Mali, I preached at a woman’s conference for 9, 1&1/2 sessions as well as Sunday morning. There were hundreds of woma
n who had gathered from all
parts of Mali. I spoke on our position in Christ. The woman were touched and responded to the messages. I was told that many woman have never understood their value in the
Kingdom of God and because of this they have felt beaten down. They eagerly received the message. It was a great joy to see them breakout in freedom and dance before the Lord. Many women were set free, healed and delivered. Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support! May God richly bless you.
Fred’s Africa Trip to Benin
It was an awesome trip. It started with a Bible school graduation. We had a second graduation that evening. Jeff Kobman and myself, taught Bible school for a week. We also
visited the orphanage and spoke in local Churches. It was all a great blessing. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Pastor Nazaire said that the teaching we brought was greatly needed. Thank you so much for sending me and I look forward to my return in 2018. 
Year End Financial Report
Here we are at the end of 2017. I can’t believe how fast the days have gone by. First, Fred and I want to say how grateful to the Lord we are for all he has done, both in our lives and ministry. We want to thank you as well, for all of your prayers and support throughout the years. Every year we are amazed at what God has done and you are a part of that. This year we are ending the year with a $10,000 debt. Most of this is the airplane and travel expenses. As many of you know we travel all year and considering how many places we have gone and the numbers of people we have ministered to, this isn’t a very large debt. However we are believing that The Lord will clear that debt before the end of this year.
If you would like to help us, you can do this in several ways. Please PRAY. We believe that when we pray, God hears us. The Bible says that if any two agree on anything God will hear and answer their prayers. Please pray with us that this debt will be paid. I am looking for 1000 prayer partners who will commit to pray for us, not only for finances but most of all that the Lord would reach and touch many people through our partnership. A Year of Praise
Christmas is rapidly approaching and the new year is about to become a reality. While we look forward and can never live in the past, it is always good to look back on what God did and give him praise. Last year at this time I was in the Philippines. I have traveled there twice in the last year. Each time I spent considerable time visiting churches, praying for and encouraging Pastors and their families. I have also been to two countries in Africa. There I preached in churches and taught in Bible schools. One of the highlights of this year was the trip I made to Quebec, Canada with my dad, ministering and singing together. These are precious memories indeed. I also visited many churches in the USA. Fred traveled to Africa twice and also ministered in several places this year. Cars, airplanes and trains took us many places and everywhere we went, God was with us. We were protected in dangerous situations both at home and abroad, hidden from terrorists, saved from
hurricanes and typhoons, and blessed beyond measure by God’s protecting grace. Besides all of that, I was able to help bring about the birth of a great nephew and niece, one in Texas and one in New York. Praise the Lord!
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for us as we make our plans for next year, that we will go where we can have the greatest impact and blessing.
2. Pray for our health that we can withstand the vigorous travel that we do.
3. Pray that our monthly support income increases.
